As from 30th September 2003 Portland Communications Ltd can no longer
support CGI running for Freeweb Accounts.

From that date the CGI facility will be removed from the free webhosting
facility whilst ESP, PHP, and SSI will all continue to be offered. It
should also be noted that PHP has been upgraded to one of the very
latest versions during the last few days.

If your website relies on CGI then the simple solution is to transfer to
a Portland Enhanced Account. This offers many advantages, not
withstanding that CGI will be running, but that the number of websites
is limited per server and so your website will function faster for your
potential customers.

At Portland we recognise that this might not be entirely to your liking
since an Enhanced Account costs £12.00 per annum. However the transfer
is FREE and we are offering a discount of £2.00 to all those making the
change during October 2003.
