For our client, located in Munich, Germany, we are searching for highly motivated candidates for the following position:


COMPUTER VISION ENGINEER


Role:

You will play a key role in our computer vision team. You will lead our stereo-vision framework development and you will be responsible for providing a high-quality stereo-vision system. Your ideas and development in this area will be crucial for the quality and success of our product.

Tasks:

Lead and develop our stereo-vision framework with focus on novel and accurate computer vision algorithms.
Develop algorithms for stereo and 3D imaging, feature extraction, sensor fusion and
alignment (such as lidar with imagery), complex object segmentation, sensor fusion, camera calibration and 3D reconstruction.
Increase accuracy of stereo vision cameras.
Apply machine learning to computer vision problems.
Prototype hardware and software solutions for detection, classification and recognition.
Co-develop stable stereo vision camera with external partners.
Evaluate and try out constantly new camera models (2D & 3D).
Stay up-to-date with latest development in computer vision and implement new approaches.

Positions requirements:

University degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning.
Proficient programming skills to develop efficient algorithms in C/C++
5+ years experience in Computer Vision/Image processing/Machine Learning/Camera Systems
Experience in framework development
Understanding of 2D and 3D visualization libraries and GPU implementations.
Experience with machine learning, Bayesian filtering, information theory and/or 3D geometry
Solid knowledge of Stereo Vision algorithms
Experience in image processing especially in the field of complex object segmentation
Experience training deep convolutional and/or recurrent neural networks is a plus
Experience with 3D sensor data (ToF, Stereo, Structured Light, Lidars) is a big plus
Strong theoretical and practical background in Computer Vision, Image analysis, specifically in Stereo Vision, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Optical Flow, Statistical Evaluation, Optimization are strong plus
Solid knowledge on Deep Learning frameworks such as Caffe, PyTorch, TensorFlow is a strong plus
Strong abstraction, algorithmic, and software architecture skills
Experience working with large software projects (including things like revision control, code review systems, continuous integration, etc.)
Solid understanding of hardware/software interaction especially for cameras
Fluent in English, German is a plus.
