Version 3.0 of the GNU Compiler Collection

Overview
--------

GCC 3.0 is now available.

This release contains many new features and improvements. The
highlights include:

- Support for Java, including the GNU implementation of the Java
run-time library.

- A new x86 back-end, which generates faster code.

- A more efficient, more standards-compliant C++ compiler,
using an industry standard C++ ABI.

- A new, standards-conformant, implementation of the C++ standard
library.

- Improved optimizations.

- Improved documentation.

hvala na informaciji, idemo da downloadujemo, samo ovde se koristi curl, a ne wget :)

Ima li ličnih iskustava? Da li je u potpunosti kompatibilan sa prethodnim verzijama (vaše iskustvo, ne tvrdnje na sajtu)???

Sa navedenog sajta:

Obratite pažnju na ono "almost". Može samo da izazove sumnju.

Izgleda da su samo izbacili neke ne[ANSI]standardne pikanterije...

Čini se da nije ništa kardinalno... Taman usput da se nateraju programeri da pišu ANSI C kod...

dap,
meni se vec par dana 3.0 vrti na masini ...
i primetio sam istu stvar,
vrlo cesto kada kompajliram "stariji" kod ...dobijam warnig, tipa: "Unstandardnized function" ... to nekad ne zasmeta, a nekad VEOMA !
Ide to toga da se _ponekad_ zadavim u ***[make] Error .... dok na 2.95.3 kOd prolazi bez problema ....
