Upravo daju savet da se resetuje masina a ukoliko problem ostane i dalje, preporucuje se ponovna instalacija drajvera, ili stavljanje novijeg.

Greška 797 znači nešto drugo, ne baš zauzet port. Windows ne vidi modem ... evo detaljnije:

Error 797 - The modem could not be found.
This error occurs only in Windows 2000 and XP. The error can occur if the modem is no longer visible to the system, and may be a problem related to the modem driver, or system conflicts that cause the modem to work only some of the time. In some cases, rebooting the machine may "solve" the problem. If the modem is an external and is not powered on when the system is booted this error may occur: shut-down, power on the modem & re-boot the system. If the error persists, check to see if there is an updated driver for your modem.

Deluje mi da bi instalacija dobrih drajvera rešila problem.

imao sam i ja isti problem.Pitao sam neki programer i mi je rekao da je problem u mausu ne u modem.Maus moze da koristi isti piort kao i modem i onda se javlja konflikt.Posto je praktichno nemoguce da promenis port modema, idi i promeni port koji koristi maus.Ja sam bas tako i uradio i evo sad super ide i edno i drugo.Ti si sigurno stavio modem u masini nakon instaliranje windowsa.Probaj promeniti port koji koristi maus nadam se da ce ti to pomoci kao sto je meni pomoglo.I kazi sta si uradio i dali ti je ovo pomoglo

moze se promjeniti com port modema, kako ne - u device manageru mu pristupi opcijama i odi na advanced pa advanced port settings
