Job Title: Application Support Analyst Job Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands No of Openings: 2 Job Type: C Job Description: - Provide daily support and maintenance of the in-house developed and third party applications. - Monitor applications and IT infrastructure availability and performance. - Collect debug information enabling development teams to fix identified issues. - Perform perform routine system administration. - Participate in the preproduction testing of the applications. including creation of the test plans and scenarios. - Working in close collaboration with development teams in order to improve supportability and manageability of the applications. - Create and maintain technical documentation. Essential skills: - Reasonable experience of application support under UNIX (preferable Linux and Solaris) platforms. - Very strong troubleshooting/debugging skills and ability to identify software deficiencies. - Good working knowledge of Solaris/Linux operating systems. - Good working knowledge of Shell, Perl scripting. - Basic knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL. - Basic understanding of programming, particularly Java programming. - Basic network administration skills. - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. - Ability to communicate effectively with software development teams.
