| Putem nekih kanala su procurele informacije o novoj liniji grafičkih procesora iz nVidia-e. Ono što se da videti baš i ne obećava, budući da se špekuliše sa nekim ubrzanjem od svega 30% u odnosu na 8800Ultra, iako će perjanica, 9800GX2 biti "dvoglava" varijanta, sistemski odrađena u maniru 7950GX2, kartice predstavljene tokom ere prethodne game ovog proizvođača. Čini se da (barem u početku) ništa neće biti suštinski novo, jer je dobar deo kartica baziran na, već poznatom i popularnom, G92 čipu.. Da li je reč o istinitim informacijama ili nije, trebali bismo da saznamo relativno skoro. Ono što eventualno upućuje na to da je u pitanju samo "koska", je činjenica da je predstavljena prvo kartica srednje cenovne kategorije, 9600GT, što je za nVidiu krajnje neuobičajeno (mada i uopšte za HW industriju). Mada, ovakva promena politike ne bi baš preterano iznenadila, jer smo i skoro bili svedoci da se snažnija kartica (8800GT), po nomenklaturi smešta na pogrešno mesto (naime, dosad je GTS varijanta uvek bila snažnija od GT-a, dok je u jednom trenutku GT bio itekako bolji, do pojave GTS-a sa 512MB). In June, the company will launch the value-level GeForce 9500 GT based on the G96 graphics core with a reduced 128-bit memory interface. To complete the series, the GeForce 9500 GS will launch in July. Nvidia's share of the discrete entry-level graphics card market (US$30-90) has shrunk to less than 3%. Therefore, Nvidia will not target this market with 9-series products in the near-term, and instead will promote the increasing performance of its IGP chipsets.
