| Artist Creates Real-Life Working Hoverboard! by Ariel Schwartz, 05/28/10  Who hasn’t wished at some point that they could take a spin on Marty McFly’s hoverboard from Back to the Future II? The hoverboard may not be an actual form of transportation yet, but French artist Nils Guadagnin has built a working replica of McFly’s floating board for an exhibition entitled, appropriately enough, “Back to the Future”.  The hoverboard features an electromagnetic system that allows it to levitate as well as a laser system that stabilizes the object. Guadagnin explains, “In the making of this work, I was thinking about different ways of presenting sculpture.
