IT company in Amsterdam and Spelt (support team) in Belgrade looking for
Senior Java Developer & Architect
Work at office in Belgrade and periodical travel to Amsterdam.


The successful candidate will be working on modern state-of-the-art projects,
working closely with international project teams according to agile principles.

As a Senior Java Developer / Architect you are responsible for designing and
developing advanced web applications based on a common J2EE architecture
using open source frameworks and tools. Additionally you will work on
integrating these solutions with applications from our technology partners,
engaging them in inspiring technical dialog. You are a true visionary
when it comes to clearly defining a uniform information retrieval platform
for supporting a wide range of portfolio products.

You are responsible for the technical design of the infrastructure,
application and database structures, as well as the supporting environment
for the complete software development life cycle,
where continuous and timely delivery is essential.


Skills required:

- University or equivalent education

- At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Java Developer,
a deeply analytical mindset, and good at making important decisions
about new architecture and open source tooling

- Experience programming web-based applications with associated standards
such as Spring, Hibernate, JSF and Struts / Tapestry

- Good knowledge and experience with SQL, (X)HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML

- Can understand high-level user stories and translate these into a uniform
architecture that developers can build upon and extend to add new functionalities.

- Knowledge of web accessibility guidelines,
web standards compliance and progressive enhancement

- Familiarity with Groovy, REST, Jersey

- Experience with app-servers and web-servers, crypto and security

- Able to inspire and motivate other team members in following your vision.

- Works well under pressure and has good communication skills,
able to give inspiring (technical) presentations
