For our client who is operating in Berlin, Germany, we are searching for highly motivated candidates for the following position:



BACKEND DEVELOPER



Tasks:

Take care for the products’ backend, develop and implement new features and enhance the existing ones
Unroll your backend skills to improve efficiency, scalability, stability, and maintainability of the systems and their subsystems
The code you promote for user acceptance tests perfectly supports the company’s testing efforts
Contribute to the system design as well as effort estimation and planning
Under your surveillance, the system is a “bug-free zone”
Along technical standards, you constantly improve on best practices
When it comes to designs and source code, you highly value detailed documentation
Speaking of design and code review management – you’re in ;-)
Stakeholders profit from collaborating with you on issues of design, development, and testing


Requirements:

Degree in IT or computer science or have alternatively completed a comparable apprenticeship
Working in a related field for several years, you have acquired extensive experience in building large-scale server applications
Expert in developing and debugging applications, for example by using Java, C, C++ or comparable
Knowledge of relational databases (DB2, Oracle, My SQL and other)
Regarding your impressive experience in software developing, knowledge in different developing methodologies hardly needs mentioning
UML has been of great help to you with system and design documentations
Any technical decisions you take are characterized by your business awareness
Skills in using modern ILE RPG are very welcome
If you have worked with the IBMi / iSeries OS before, is nice to have
Motivated, team-spirited and open-minded, you constantly grow with your tasks
Fluency in English
