For our client, one of the leading online travel information and booking portals located in Munich, Germany, we are searching for highly motivated candidates for the following position:



FULLSTACK SCALA SOFTWARE ENGINEER



Tasks:

Working on the extension and optimization of a great web portal
Participate in the drafting, modeling and implementation of the web solutions
Take on the improvement and fine-tuning of a great web portal
Using Scala and its frameworks, you create web services and features both highly available and resilient
Design and implement new features and web services both highly valuable and easy to handle
Design and refactor components in the name of high availability and resilience
With you being co-owner of the backend architecture, there won’t be a lack of diligent documentations
Product owners appreciate your expertise in the creation of great user stories with high business value
Your goal in the Docker-based infrastructure: continuous deployment


Positions requirements:

University degree in Computer Science or related field
Already developed and implemented several significant Scala-based services
Several years of professional experience in Scala, Akka, Play Framework, Java, JVM
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Comfortable in REST APIs (with Tomcat, Jersey, JAX-RS)
Experience with Docker, Lucene, Solr, Elasticsearch
In NoSQL database technologies like MongoDB or Neo4j you’re well versed
Allrounder who likes to think outside the box when it comes to other systems, frameworks, languages and tools
Kafka and Hadoop provide the final touch to your tech stack
Experience with Scrum and TDD, continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Fluency in English
