Our client is a strong International Technology Company in a most specialized sector with the HQ in the west of Austria in Salzburg area. The company develops hardware and software solutions for innovative systems. They are hiring for a permanent position in a Start Up Unit in the HQ within the established company the following position:



SENIOR C++ SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Robotics)



Tasks:

Analyze, design, develop and test robust robot functions in different areas (motor controller, navigation, precision landing)
Develop and improve controller in different areas (e.g. functionality, safety, security, ..)
Elaborate a robust sensor-fusion system/framework for future development
Design and develop interfaces for backend communication
Improve failure safety of the system to achieve law restrictions
Adapt prototype software for product 1.0
Design and develop interfaces for backend communication
Develop together with PM feature roadmap in customer workshops
Assistance in build management and continuous integration


Positions requirements:

University degree in Computer Science or in related filed
At least 5 + years of working experience
Programming with C/C++
Objective oriented programming with C++
Demonstrated ability to dive into and work with large code bases
Know-how in design patterns
Strong abstraction, algorithmic, and software architecture skills
Know-how in conceptual and logical database design, as well as database technologies.
Strong knowledge of key Operational Systems concepts (processes and threads, memory management, concurrency and synchronization etc.)
Experience working with large software projects (including things like revision control, code review systems, continuous integration, etc.)
Solid understanding of hardware/software interaction
Agile software development process (based on Scrum)
Ability to autonomously solve problems
Start-up thinking
Never give up mentality
Reliability and strong commitment Team player
Work collaboratively with product managers, computer vision engineers, mechatronics engineers to design, develop, and deliver reliable high-value software system for robot and base station.
Fluency in English, knowledge of German language is not mandatory

What we offer:

Gross Salary range: 50.000 – 55.000
