Mission and Impact Help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our infrastructure. As an experienced Systems Engineer, you will have a high impact on the decision making of the architecture of the infrastructure. You will work together with 3 other great colleagues that are always ready to help each other out. Vision As a member of the infrastructure team, you will be an important driver of our cloud-migration strategy, gradually moving our system from running on-premise to the cloud. The tech stack consists of Database layer: mongoDB, elasticsearch, redis, memcache Application layer: Openshift Automation: SaltStack, Terraform Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus Alerting: Sensu, PagerDuty Key responsibilities Maintain DB backends and load balancing infrastructure and optimize them to adapt to heavy production workload Plan, coordinate and execute OS, DB and service upgrades Maintain monitoring stack (Sensu, Elk, Prometheus) and plan and execute upgrades Domains / DNS maintenance Help build, maintain and optimize our containerized API and application stack (OpenShift) Maintain our internal VPN infrastructure Maintain iptables based firewall across infrastructure Automate toil generating processes Exchange and collaborate closely with our Dev-Team On-call duties Your profile: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Relevant and strong experience as a System Engineer or similar role 3+ years of relevant experience using linux or unix environments, debian or ubuntu Experience with NoSQL, ideally with MongoDB Experience with Bash, Python Experience maintaining elasticsearch clusters OpenShift, OKD or K8s Very good understanding and knowledge of networking and application-level operations Ability to quickly diagnose issues and suggest solutions Team player Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills What we offer: Work on a product that impacts millions of users, with the mission to enable everyone to live life to their fullest!
