Dakle, ovako:
Napravio sam Access bazu, koju sam podelio na dva dela.
U jednom fajlu (faktura+_data.mdb) se nalaze samo tabele.
U drugom fajlu (faktura+.mdb) se nalaze upiti, forme i izvestaji, a uspostavljen je link ka tabelama u prvom .mdb fajlu. Ovo je otprilike standardna procedura odvajanja podataka od formi.
Zatim odnosim bazu u firmu, i na jednom racunaru snimam fajl sa tabelama a na tri racunara snimam fajl sa formama. Naravno, moram ponovo da linkujem fajl sa formama do tabela, jer je putanja kroz mrezu (titan1//c:\faktura+\faktura+_data.mdb) drugacija od putanje na mom kucnom racunaru (c:\faktura+\faktura+_data).

Pitanje:
Da li mogu ja jos na kucnom racunaru da linkujem fajl sa formama do tabela sa putanjom koja nece raditi kod mene kuci (nazalost nemam dva umrezena racunara) ali ce sve lepo raditi u firmi. Ovim bih ustedeo putovanje do Beograda, jer bih onda eventualne izmene mogao da saljem e-mailom.

Koje izmene? Izmene baze (tabela, formi itd.) ili izmene podataka u bazi? Kod mene u firmi imam istu situaciju, i resenje za izmenu mi je da se dial-up logujem na mrezu, downloadujem sto mi treba, izmenim i posaljem na isto mesto (folder sa bazom je shareovan, naravno pod passwordom). Sve to u win2K. Dakle, nema cuvanja baze, direktan download, izmena i ponovni upload.

Nadam se da sam bio jasan. Od softvera potreban je windows mrezni klijent, modem i dial-up konekcija preko mreznog klijenta.

Ovako:
Objasnio sam vec da postoje dva fajla. Jedan je sa tabelama, a drugi sadrzi forme, upite i izvestaje. Kada promenim nesto u fajlu sa formama ili izvestajima (promenim nešto u formi ili dodam neki novi izveštaj) kod svoje kuce, onda moram da idem u firmu da ponovo relinkujem taj fajl na tabele. Putanja koju koristim u firmi prilikom relink-a je "\clio7cfaktura+faktura+_data.mdb", a putanja koju koristim na kućnom računaru je "c:faktura+faktura+_data.mdb". Dakle, ne znam kako na kućnom računaru da upisem nepostojeću putanju do tabela, koja trenutno neće raditi, ali će u firmi sve biti OK. Znači da bih mogao sve da odradim kod kuće i da pošaljem mailom, a ne da idem u firmu i na licu mesta da odradim relink.

U firmi, inače, postoje 7 računara, na kojima se nalazi Win98SE, i povezani su u mrežu po principu svako vidi svakog. Mislim da je običan NETBEUI protokol.

Izgleda da me je 'ukenjalo' ovo sa tabelama....

Mislim, meni to sve šljaka i sa tabelama, i sa upitima, i sa formama... samo ne znam kako onda Access kapira... verovatno uzima iz tekućeg direktorijuma sve komponente baze pa se "ne buni"... probaj dakle bez putanje da mu staviš parametre "as is" pa javi šta si uradio...

Baš čudno. Odoh da pogledam i ja kako se to desilo.

Here's a function (fRefreshLinks) that could be run at db startup. The function looks at each table in the database in which the code is running, and tries to find the datasource for that table if the Connect property is populated.

If the database specified for the linked table is not present, the code brings up the GetOpenFileName dialog so that the user can select an alternative source.
