2001/01/04 NASA switches from Oracle to MySQL

In November a team at NASAs Marshall Space Flight Center finished the transition of the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) from Oracle to MySQL. NAIS sends e-mail notifications to users based on specified interests and enables users to query the Web site (nais.nasa.gov) for updated opportunities.

Da li to svi beze od preskupe administracije Oracle-a ili nesto drugo? Mozda performanse?

Što misliš da je smešno, pojasni nam malo?
Oni se i dalje hvale na sva usta da 'i nasa koristi MySQL'..

pa smesno je porediti oracle i mysql

A to je tacno.. razlicite namene potpuno, mogucnosti se ni ne mogu porediti mysql je nula sto se toga tice... Al opet :)
